1/13/2024 0 Comments Windows could not clean disk 0The impression I got is that Windows was originally installed on Disk 0 (Probably and HDD) and someone added an SSD to be computer and installed Windows on it and didn't properly delete the original drive while doing it.Įdit: I should make a note that during installation of Windows, if there already was a previous EFI partition, Windows could have reused it, and if this is the case, it's not safe to delete it, if possible I would recommending doing a clean of Windows deleting all partitions while selecting the right drive to install Windows to fix the whole thing. Fix 2: Manually create the boot partition list disk (and make note of the disk number to install Windows to) select disk0 (where disk 0 is your destination. If it says Master Boot Record (MBR), this means Windows was installed in Legacy or CSM (Compatibility Support Module), and doesn't use the EFI partition on Disk 0, then it should be safe to completely format Disk 0, you can click in each partition individually and delete them, and when the only thing remaining is unallocated space, you can right click and select New Simple Volume to create a new partition. > Any idea of whats causing this You would need to tell us the specs of your 'brand-new' computer. The error, the message said, occured when it tried to apply > . The error occured while applying the unattend answer files setting.![]() Hi, I don't know if you already have solved the problem, but if haven't could you check if the Windows Partition on Disk 1 is using MBR? You can do that by right clicking in the Disk 1 and selecting properties, a new window will open and look for partition style. saying that it couldnt clean disk 0 because the specified disk did not > exist.
